Our office policies

As Certified Massage Therapists (CMT) , we follow a Code of Ethics dictated by the State of Indiana. All information clients provide, both written and verbal, will remain confidential.
We treat clients ethically and fairly and establish an atmosphere of trust and respect during each session. We ask the same of our clients in return.
We understand and recognize the effects of trauma, and want all clients to feel physically, psychologically, and emotionally safe.
As a CMT, our goal is to assist clients in meeting their goals of relaxation, stress reduction, and pain management. 

Scope of Practice
As a Certified Massage Therapist, we utilize manual techniques, and potentially other supplemental therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.
We do not diagnose or prescribe medications for medical conditions. Our services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions.
Clients are advised to consult a medical doctor of their choice for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.

Inappropriate behavior
We have a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior. In the event that a client displays inappropriate behavior and/or assaults the therapist, the session will end immediately. The client will be charged the full amount of the session and asked to leave. No future appointments will be accepted.  We reserve the right to call the police and file a report.
Draping is required during the entire massage.
If a client feels they are subject to inappropriate behavior, or something that makes them uncomfortable in any way, please speak up and communicate this to your therapist. Clients reserve the right to end a session at any time.

Payment and Tipping
Payment in full is due at the time of service and is payable by cash, check, or credit card. There will be a $25.00 fee on returned checks. Prices are subject to change at any time. We charge a flat rate for services, and tipping is not encouraged unless clients feel they have received truly exceptional service. Clients are encouraged to pre-pay the day before their sessions via link on the email reminder. 

No/call-No/show and arriving late
In the event that you fail to show up for your appointment without giving notice you will be charged the full amount of your session. An invoice will be sent to your email on file. Future appointments cannot be booked until this balance is paid.
We understand and respect the hectic schedules of our clients.  We are happy to try to accommodate and move appointments when given sufficient notice. Please understand that hours are limited, and we are often booked in advance. There is no charge for cancellations received at least 24  hours in advance. If you must cancel with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged for the full session.

Illness
If you are feeling ill or think you may be “coming down with something”, please call before your scheduled appointment. It is in both the client’s and therapists best interest to reschedule appointments in this case. Likewise, please understand if we call you to reschedule because we am feeling ill. This will help to keep us all healthy! Under certain medical conditions, massage/bodywork may not be advised, for example when a fever is present, infection, skin rashes, other illness or recent surgery. If a massage could be potentially harmful to a client’s condition, I reserve the right to decline to perform the massage.
